Screwworms have breached the U.S.-maintained barrier in Panama

Please, dear god, do not cut the funding of that program preventing the spread of these northwards.

The article doesn’t mention why they’ve been creeping northward since 2022.

These screwworms, they're very bad worms, they're invading, they're crossing the borders illegally and they're right there in Panama! And they're eating the flesh, they're eating the organs, they're eating the tissues of the people that live there.
